Hey Dirk, I see you get this in every post, but I do have to say you are an awesome drummer. But, I'll try to keep this short =] I was looking to buy Meinl Cymbals for my drumset, I just bought it right before the new year, and I bought Zildjian A Customs with it, im looking to buy more cymbals because I like a wide variety of sound. I also dont want to spend that much money again getting some. I found five Meinl Cymbals (MCS and Classics series) going for $250. I'm wondering how durable they are, and I've already heard the sound on them and I think they all sound amazing, especially the ride cymbal. I also noticed on videos of you playing drums for Sybreed and Pittsburgh Syndrome and such you play Meinl Cymbals, and I'd love to hear from a pro anyway. :D

Thanks =]

Hey there,

Thanks a lot for your kind words! It means a lot!

Regarding your question: in my humble opinion, MEINL makes truly amazing cymbals. And I'm not just saying that because I'm an endorsee! Meinl cymbals sound killer and are extremely solid. I hit pretty hard, and never before have I had splash cymbals (usually fragile) that lasted through several tours and recordings! To put it short: I love this brand! I've only tried a few models of the series you mentioned, but I do trust that they'll be worth your investment.

Good luck and drum hard!
