Hi !
First sorry for my english, i don't have all the vocabulary !

I would like to congratulate Dirk for all his work to give me "la chair de poule" when i heard him !

I read on your website that you're prepare a drum DVD and i have few questions to ask :

-Do you put "analyse's" songs (drumstranscription ? i don't know the word) of bands likes Yyrkoon, Sybreed (the totality of this albums, especially the drums parts are incredible)

-It is a pedagogic DVD :
_Explain in details a part of your drumpersonnality :
I mean your feet work, your cymbals touch, the rythmics figures you use for your excellent breaks and rythmfills !
_The way of training and what to work : I think a lot of people are like me, we are not professionnal drummers and we can play just a few hours a week, so what is the best method to increase our level ?

-There is studio recording and live performance too : it's "un régal" to see you play !
I stop now because i have many over questions, i keep for next time !!Sorry..

Good work and see you soon in france..for a tour with Scarve ???!!

Hey Christ,

Thanks a lot for your kind words! And no worries about the vocabulary, man, you did just fine!

Regarding my DVD: yes, I will explain and show the drumparts of some of the different bands I've recorded with. But, as you can imagine, this is subject to copyrights, which means that each band/label has to grant me their specific authorization. Scarve and Soilwork are certain to appear. The rest is still up in the air, but Sybreed and Yyrkoon are definite possibilities.

Part of my DVD will indeed be pedagogic and based on questions such as yours... I plan to make this whole thing as complete as possible. And yes, there will be studio performances as well. The live stuff will purely depend on what material I can get my hands on. Speaking of which, if anyone has decent quality footage of me playing live with Scarve, feel free to get in touch!

I will keep you all informed about the DVD contents as they unravel... Just keep an eye on www.dirkverbeuren.com

As far as a Scarve tour goes... Who knows? I'd say it's not likely, but not impossible.

Cheers!
/Dirk
